Every summer, thousands flock to enjoy free live music at Music Under the Stars World Music Concert Series. The program is one of El Paso’s leading family events and will celebrate its 33rd Anniversary in 2016. This year, in collaboration with El Paso Live, Cohen Stadium was added to the concert series and will host four of the eight summer concerts.
The series boasts performances by local, national and international artists in many genres including: salsa, bluegrass, rock, tribute, and jazz. Each season features a 4th of July patriotic concert with a closing firework spectacular.
Selected artists embrace the community one step further by giving free music workshops to under-served youth at local community recreational centers or detention centers the day following their live performances. These workshops help motivate and inspire their audiences.
