Eat, drink, and be merry while supporting the efforts of local film production crew, FilmShark Media, and renowned wildlife biologist, Charles Britt, as they team up to create an innovative documentary to bring crucial attention to the rapid decline in population and impending extinction of the majestic Yellow-headed Parrot of Belize. On the 10th of May, the team will be setting off on a nearly month long adventure with cameras in hand (and even in the air) to film these brilliant birds and the current group of expat and local volunteers working with Charles to protect our feathered friends and the forests they inhabit. The end goal is to create the documentary, Flightless, that will serve as an instrument to further educate the world about the effects poaching, deforestation, and ignorance has on the environment and planet as a whole, while also offering straightforward solutions to aid in reversing those effects and inciting action in both the Belizean community and our own communities.
