El Paso Live is pleased to announce FirstLight Federal Credit Union as the title sponsor, for the fourth year in a row, of the 14th season of Alfresco! Fridays. The celebrated concert series produced by El Paso Live, is due to kick off on May 6. The FREE concerts will take place every Friday evening at the Convention Center Plaza in Downtown El Paso, starting at 6PM. Concerts will not take place on June 17 or September 2.

Patrons have an informal opportunity to enjoy a diverse mix of the best regional talent. Alfresco! Fridays features Salsa, Jazz, Cumbia, Country, Reggae, Classic Rock, Blues and other popular music genres. Attendees are reminded that no outside food, beverages or pets are allowed.

About Sobredosis del Sabor A group of Cuban teenagers got together after finalizing their studies in one of the top musical schools in Cuba… and Sobredosis Del Sabor was born! Coming from different regions of the country, and with different backgrounds, they created a unique sound conquering the hearts of Cuban Salsa dancers. Some of their original songs rose to the top of the Hit Parade in Cuba’s radio and television. Soon after, Sobredosis Del Sabor was performing in the best plazas in Havana and throughout Cuba.

Besides Cuba, Sobredosis Del Sabor has performed in other countries such as Spain, Italy, France, Angola, Ecuador and Mexico. The band members are diversified with the capacity to present different shows such as Salsa music, Latin Jazz Quartet, Traditional Cuban Septet (similar to the Buena Vista Social Club in Havana), Cumbia, and Cabaret Show with dancers.

Sobredosis Del Sabor has recorded two discs with Fania Records, which include, “No Lo Compliques” and “Mujeres Contra el Domino”. Recently arriving to the Unites States, the purpose of Sobredosis De Sabor is to introduce Cuba’s unique rhythms, flavor, culture, and traditions. Interacting together, Sobredosis Del Sabor and their audience provides a spectacle for everyone’s enjoyment.
