El Paso Live is pleased to announce FirstLight Federal Credit Union as the title sponsor, for the fourth year in a row, of the 14th season of Alfresco! Fridays. The celebrated concert series produced by El Paso Live, is due to kick off on May 6. The FREE concerts will take place every Friday evening at the Convention Center Plaza in Downtown El Paso, starting at 6PM. Concerts will not take place on June 17 or September 2.

Patrons have an informal opportunity to enjoy a diverse mix of the best regional talent. Alfresco! Fridays features Salsa, Jazz, Cumbia, Country, Reggae, Classic Rock, Blues and other popular music genres. Attendees are reminded that no outside food, beverages or pets are allowed.

About Rod Crosby & the Intruders If there could be one El Paso rock musician who deserves to be called an icon, unquestionably it would be Rod Crosby. He has performed more good music for more people, and for a longer time, than any other local musician. For over 50 years, Rod has appeared on El Paso stages in every imaginable venue, from smoky rock-n-roll bars to big stages with nationally known acts. His peers respect him for his wide vocal range, tasteful guitar playing and laid-back management style.

As a boy in California, Rod started out playing Gospel music on the Hawaiian pal steel guitar, but soon switched to electric guitar. Gifted with a great voice, by 1960 he was performing in El Paso as a lead singer and lead guitarist for The Intruders, which eventually became Rod Crosby & The Intruders. Over the years he has performed with all of the area’s top musicians, playing various styles from rock to country. On stage, he has always demanded high quality sound for the ultimate listening experience.
