El Paso Live is pleased to announce FirstLight Federal Credit Union as the title sponsor, for the fourth year in a row, of the 14th season of Alfresco! Fridays. The celebrated concert series produced by El Paso Live, is due to kick off on May 6. The FREE concerts will take place every Friday evening at the Convention Center Plaza in Downtown El Paso, starting at 6PM. Concerts will not take place on June 17 or September 2.

Patrons have an informal opportunity to enjoy a diverse mix of the best regional talent. Alfresco! Fridays features Salsa, Jazz, Cumbia, Country, Reggae, Classic Rock, Blues and other popular music genres. Attendees are reminded that no outside food, beverages or pets are allowed.

About Prime 80’s Xperience PRIME 80’s Xperience is a 3-piece tribute band that was formed in early 2009. The band consists of musicians who have been performing throughout the Southwest for over 10 years. Daniel Carrasco, the founding member of the band, is lead vocalist, bass player and keyboard programmer/player. Larry Gonzalez is lead vocalist and rhythm/lead guitarist while Ruben Flores is backup vocalist and percussionist. All have performed in various cover and original bands throughout the years and, most recently, perform as the cover/variety band called PRIME.

At this time, PRIME 80’s Xperience is the only known 80’s retro tribute band in the El Paso and surrounding areas. Due to the increased popularity of the 80’s dance/retro music, the band was formed and has played various local events with great success. Some of the artists that are covered include Depeche Mode, New Order, Billy Idol, Flock of Seagulls and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, to name a few. Although the goal of the band is to provide memories of a remarkable decade of music to the audience, all band members have a great love for the music and trends that came out of that era. For this reason, PRIME 80’s Xperience is a one-of-a-kind trip back in time and more than anything, a fun-filled dance party and tribute to everything 80’s!
