El Paso Community College will host events in celebration of Black History Month. This year’s theme is “Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African-American Memories” All events are 7 p.m. Mondays. • Feb. 8: ”Freedom Summer” documentary showing, in conjunction with El Paso Museum of History. A public student art display will be on exhibit at the Administrative Services Center 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. The 27th annual African-American Read-In, a celebration of African-American writers, students, faculty and community will read selections of prose and poetry by famous authors 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following campus locations: • Northwest campus, Library Room L-114, Wednesday, Feb. 10
