In celebration of Tom Lea Month the Sheriff’s Posse will hold their 2nd annual Tom Lea Horsemanship Clinic.
Tom Lea had a lifelong interest in the history of horses and their handling, writing in his historic novel, The Hands of Cantu: “I have thought that to breed a noble horse is to share with God in one of His mysteries. As well as one of His delights.”
Kids can learn about bridling, saddling, mounting, horse care and lassoing with members of the El Paso Sheriff’s Posse!
~ at 1:00 p.m. Six Guns and Shady Ladies will recount the history of one of the most notable sheriffs of El Paso, Dallas Stoudenmire.
