The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department along with sponsors United Healthcare and Urgent Home Care Home Health Inc. will host the El Paso Senior Games Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, February 24, 2018.
The Senior Games will have a variety of competitive sporting events on an individual and team basis during February, March, April and May culminating with an awards banquet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Hilos de Plata Senior Center, 4451 Delta St. with an admittance fee of $8.
The Senior Games will start this weekend at 10:00 a.m. with a Basketball Skills Competition at Galatzan Recreation Center, 650 Wallenberg Dr. and a 1500 meters and 5k Road Race at Polly Harris Senior Center starting at the same time.
Participants in the El Paso Senior Games must be 50 years of age or older to compete.
