Bernabé is the story of a poor young man who lives with his mother in a small agricultural town. The people of the town judge Bernabé to be crazy, and even his own family members make fun of him. He becomes obsessed with the earth, fantasizing that “she” (the earth) is a woman in need of his protection. He calls on his Aztec ancestors, the sun and the moon, to help him and ends up sacrificing himself to be with her.

Production is in Spanish. Tickets are free but you must pick up your tickets in person beginning at 5:30 pm.
