The Cultural Heritage Society presents the Annual Binational History Conference. The 4-day Conference kicks off on Thursday, September 7, 2023, with a visit to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and a morning conference and private tour at the Centro Cultural de las Fronteras (UACJ) at the Pronaf in Juarez. The morning activities are hosted by the Cuerpo Academico de Turismo 31 -UACJ, and the state office of the National Institute of Anthropology and History in Chihuahua, Mexico. The conference is followed by a Historic Tour of Ciudad Juarez sites, hosted by the Cuerpo Academico de Turismo 31 -UACJ. Transportation for Conference attendees that would like to participate in Ciudad Juarez will be available. The remaining days will be held on the Historic Camino Real in El Paso County, Texas. The Conference will focus on the Heritage, Culture, and History for the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, as it relates to the El Paso County area. It will feature over 15 speakers over the four days. The conference is free to the public. The Conference will also feature a Cultural Exposé of Native Mexican and American dance and crafts, Spanish and Mexican Traditions, Foods, and Music, and a tour of the two missions and chapel on the El Paso Mission Trail.
