C’BS Alife Allah will lead an interactive lecture centered on Radical Self Care. In Alife’s words, “Radical Self Care addresses generational lineages of trauma within communities of color, introduces indigenous practices of collective healing and utilizes innovations of indigenous techniques to achieve an optimum self in the face of the stress of modern society.” The talk will also explore how understanding the collective history of trauma in our society can lead to shared healing across cultures and people of different socio-economic backgrounds. Before the lecture, there will be a performance by conscious Hip-Hop artists, Rencho and Gambol. The session is free and open to the public.
