The Barbed Wire Open Mic Series (BWOMS) is a multilingual event that celebrates free speech through the arts, and that allows community members a platform from which they can express their poetic perspectives and unique voices. Whether you come out to perform, or to just enjoy the art, it’s free and fun for everybody!
Anyone can perform any type of artistic expression at this event. This includes poetry, freestyle rap, music, comedy, drama, prose, visual art, or any other type creative expression. It’s basically a variety show that features the people of our community.
