Explore almost 27,000 acres on over 100 miles of trail. For the best view in town, hike your way up to North Franklin Peak, the highest peak in the park at 7,192 feet in elevation. With over 2,000 feet in elevation gain from the trailhead to the top, this is certainly a rite of passage for many hikers. Enter the park via the Tom Mays Unit located 3.5 miles east of I-10 on Transmountain Rd.

El Paso has become the undisputed mecca for some of the regions best mountain bike trails by virtue of its rocky terrain, views that go on for days and trails that range from beginner to advanced and suit all riding abilities. Access the trails via Chuck Heinrich Memorial Park, fee is $4 per person.
