The park gate is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except for the first Saturday in April to the third Sunday in September, when the Tom Mays Unit is open from 6:30 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays only.
Trail Condition:
OK, a few difficult spots

Upon entering the park, turn left and park at the parking lot just before the park exit. The trailhead is located by a wood kiosk on the eastside of the lot. This trail passes over several roads, parking lots and restrooms. At the fork, take the right. The left goes to the ranger booth where the trail becomes difficult to follow. You will reach another dim fork, take the right again. The trail continues along crossing roads and parking lots until reaching the end loop on the north end of the park. Return by retracing your steps along the same trail.

Trail Directions/Description: This trail can be accessed through the Tom Mays Park entrance which if coming from the Westside of El Paso and from Interstate 10, take the Canutillo/Transmountain Road exit and turn right toward the Mountains. The park entrance is located to the left after nearly 3.8 miles. From the Eastside of El Paso taking Highway 54, exit Fred Wilson Road and turn toward the mountain, travel over Transmountain to the park entrance. All trails are subject to park hours and fees.
