Directions/Description: Please see directions below for the various starting points. Be able to capture a breath taking experience as you ride along the Rio Grande. As you come down this historic river see El Paso in a whole new perspective. The river is a border to Mexico and the United States, allowing for a unique culture in El Paso. You will be overwhelmed at the magnificent scenery of the Franklin Mountains. Have your cameras ready, the wildlife near the river is a beautiful sight. The river attracts all kinds of reptiles. Keep an eye out in the skies for the many kinds of birds that the river also attracts. The area has a few seating areas along the paved road for you to sit and relax. You can choose to ride on the paved road of the river levy dirt road.

Location:
Vinton Bridge – Take I-10 West, take the Westway Exit, Left at the four way stop and over the bridge. Continue on until you hit Doniphan Street. At that light, directly in front of you is another bridge, the trail is located over the bridge. Parking can be found near the start of the trail, alongside the road. Parking is scarce.
Canutillo Bridge – Take I-10 West, take the Woodrow Bean Transmountain Rd (Loop 375) Exit, take a left at the light, right on Doniphan Dr., left at La Union Ave (Farm Rd 259). You will encounter a bridge. The trail is located over the bridge. Parking can be found near the start of the trail, alongside the road. Parking is scarce.
Borderland Bridge – Take I-10 West, exit Artcraft Rd., and make a left on Artcraft. You will then exit Doniphan Dr. At Doniphan make a right, and then a left on Borderland Rd. You will encounter a bridge. The trail is located over the bridge. Parking can be found near the start of the trail, alongside the road. Parking is scarce.
Country Club Bridge – Take I-10 West, exit N. Mesa St. and make a left on Mesa St. Continue down Mesa St. which eventually turns into Country Club Rd. After 5-10 minutes you will reach a bridge. The trail is located over the bridge. Parking can be found near the start of the trail, alongside the road.
Sunland Park Bridge – Take I-10 West, exit the Sunland Park and drive down Sunland Park. You will cross from the state line from Texas to New Mexico. After passing Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino and Western Playland Amusement Park, you will reach a bridge. The trail is located over the bridge. At this point, the paved trail heads west. Parking can be found near the start of the trail, alongside the road. Parking is scarce.
