You are Invited to Participate in the Paso del Norte Venture Competition and Expo 2017!
The Paso del Norte Venture Competition and Expo 2017 (PDNVC+E17) celebrates entrepreneurs and innovators who are developing businesses that contribute to the PDN regional economy -El Paso, Las Cruces, Cd. Juarez. PDNVC+E provides a venue for emerging entrepreneurs to expand their network, develop new opportunities, and become active players in the regional economy. Small businesses are the life-blood of our economy, comprising 99% of all business in the United States. Whether developing products or creating jobs, increased entrepreneurship benefits everyone.
All participants together will gain exposure to possible investors, judges, and the community in an all-day Expo. Over three days the teams will present their new ventures to judges who are successful business people and entrepreneurs. Both tracks will challenge competitors to refine their value propositions and investor presentations, based on their innovative technologies and ideas.
Competition Prizes: The winning startup will receive $1,000 cash prize and 1 year affiliate incubation at The Hub of Human Innovation, a $4,000 value. Additional prizes may be awarded.
Eligibility:The PDNVC+E17 is for local created and managed ventures that meet 2 of the following 3 criteria:
- Be in the ideation phase or have been in business for less than 1 year.
- Have less than $50k in total 2016 revenue.
- Have fewer than 3 full time employees (FTEs).
Selected startups must submit a pitch deck prior to the event and participate in pitch coaching. To Apply: Submit the application form no later than Friday February 10th.
