Join Sue Taylor, museum curator, as she unfolds for you the story of how prizes have changed and shaped our world. From 1714 to the Google Lunar XPRIZE: Lucky Lindy Wasn’t the First…or Last! takes you on a journey of learning how prizes have helped to move technology forward and change our world. Charles Lindbergh, affectionately known as Lucky Lindy, won the Orteig Prize in 1927 for being the first allied aviator to fly nonstop from New York to Paris.

This event takes place on the Museum’s first floor. Coffee and donuts are compliments of the International Space Hall of Fame Foundation.

The Launch Pad Lectures are streamed live on Periscope and are available on the museum’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2SirhgX3NsxcREfOVLjHeA
