Dr. Yolanda Chávez Leyva, Associate Professor of History and Director of the Institute of Oral History & the Borderlands Public History Lab at UTEP will talk about her research into the lives of Mexican American children in El Paso in the early 20th century. She will discuss education, work, and the development of social services.
