Beginner Mountain Bike Ride
May 1, 2016
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Sierra Vista Trail on Anthony Gap
May is Bike Month, so let’s start it with a great beginner mountain bike ride! A group beginner ride will head out at 8am (northbound on the Sierra Vista Trail). The ride will probably travel 8-10 miles and last about 1.5 hours.
There are NO bathrooms, water or other services at the site.
Directions: Near the high point on NM 404 (between mile markers 5 and 6) there is a dirt road with a gate on the south side. Close the gate behind you. (It’s unlikely, but if a group beats us to the site, we’ll find a location to the north of the highway.)
These are real mountain bike rides so you should bring a good, properly working mountain bike, helmet, water, tubes, tools, etc., and the know how to use them.
Brought to you be Velo Paso, GeoBetty and the Borderland Mountain Bike Association.
