The event will target teens between the ages of 13-16 years old.
STAY TEEN DAY is a day filled with both education and fun, while helping teens understand the importance of staying a teen and making positive choices.
The event is geared toward raising awareness of the issue of teen pregnancy and encouraging youth to stay teen and postpone parenthood. During Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month in May, this full-day event is aimed at uniting and educating teens for a positive change.
This free event will feature testimonials from teen parents about the challenges of being a young parent as well as an exhibit of information tables and a carnival of fun teen-friendly activities where kids can celebrate being young. Prizes will be raffled off such as Neon desert festival tickets. The teens in attendance will be given educational information on Teen Pregnancy and Healthy Relationships. There will be guest speakers who will give teens a better understanding of each topic and how it directly relates to them.
