El Paso, Texas- Sponsored by the Inter Club Council (ICC) of El Paso, the 2012 Black History parade and festival will take place Saturday, February 25, 2012 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The theme for this year’s National Black History Month is Black Women in American Culture and History

The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the junction of Pershing and Montana and proceed in an easterly direction to Copia; south on Copia to Missouri; west on Missouri to the Leona Ford Washington Community Center where it will disband.

The Festival will be held at Mary Web Park, which is just across the street from Leona Ford Washington Center, beginning immediately after the parade. The program which will be open to the public will be feature music, guest speakers, various food booths and other items offered for sale by vendors.
