Get your jingle bells ready and “jungle” all the way … to see SANTA at the ZOO, presented by Neighbors Emergency Center! Santa will be at the Zoo on December 10 and 11, checking on his El Paso toy workshop and ringing in the holiday season with all your favorite Zoo animals! While you’re here, play in the fluffy snow and write your holiday wish list – we’ll mail it directly to the North Pole!
With the year coming to a close, we have our own, short wish list: it is our wish that you had a wonderful year of memories with us here at the El Paso Zoo! Watching Khaleesi turn 1-year old on her Earth Day Birthday, opening the scaly, not scary, new Texas tortoise-shaped Reptile House, introducing you to Pipkin, Acorn, and Big Wig, the new Red River Hogs – sharing and making memories with you is our favorite, during the holidays and every day!
In the spirit of this season of thankfulness and celebration, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continual support of our community Zoo and the El Paso Zoological Society! Because of your support, and the collaboration with the El Paso Zoological Society, we are able to develop meaningful programs and engaging exhibits that promote conservation and cultivate an appreciation for wildlife and healthy ecosystems. Together, we are engaging and inspiring children and families to make a positive impact on the natural world around them.
We have so many new exciting projects and animals coming your way in 2017 and we couldn’t do it without your support! From a thrilling new flighted bird show and state-of-the-art wildlife theater, to new animals, expanded field conservation efforts, and exciting community events, there are so many ways for you to discover – or rediscover – everything that makes the Zoo El Paso’s Most-Visited Family Attraction during the coming year!
Where else in the borderland can a child see, hear, and feel what it’s like to be on the plains of Africa, connecting to wildlife by feeding a giraffe? Where else can a child experience the wonder of being an endangered Sumatran orangutan first-hand? And, this December – where else can a child frolic in the snow before running through the rainforest?
We invite you to join us this holiday season, for an unforgettable celebration with Santa and your WILDEST friends. Santa at the Zoo will feature carolers, special “presents” and holiday enrichment treats for the animals to enjoy, and much more!
